The new drama UNDOCUMENTED kicks off the first performance on Friday, October 14th at 7 p.m. in the new Seattle Playwrights Salon at The Conservatory, a coffeehouse, community meeting place, and artists’ workshop in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood. The Salon is the only free, regularly scheduled public space in Seattle where playwrights and actors can bring new plays in development to the public, followed by conservation among audience, playwrights, and actors.
In the hush-hush world of the undocumented, a brush with police spins out of control…
UNDOCUMENTED looks at the realities faced by one undocumented immigrant family in Seattle, brought into the glare of public attention after an arrest by police thrusts husband and father Fredy into immigration detention, facing deportation. He attempts to navigate not only the criminal justice system, but the torturously difficult immigration court system – with the life he has built for his family in this country at stake.
